Hi, my name is Sara. I am a design student and aspiring web designer.
My goal is to offer beautiful and timeless web design that captures a brand’s or a person’s unique character in a bespoke, high end way.
Being born and raised in Berlin, the city of art, I have always been a very creative person, being surrounded by street art, exclusive exhibitions and some of the best classical art museums in the world. This is what influenced me into painting and eventually selling big scale abstract paintings through my Instagram (@saraluciaraffaela).
My Instagram blog has always been a vessel for displaying my own aesthetic and being creative in an unconstrained way.
Elegance and class is something I always keep in mind when working on projects, however, through numerous work for real clients within my studies in Communications Design at Berlin School of Design and Communications, I have learned to always put the clients wishes and goals before anything else. This is something I would say I have mastered.
Through my almost five semesters at BSDC, I have gained numerous skills, for example in editorial design, creative direction, photography and photo editing, videography and film cut and corporate design, including logo design and branding.
I am experienced in the Adobe Suite, specifically with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and XD. I have primary knowledge in Lightroom and Bridge, as well as ProtoPie. I have also earned a certificate for learning basic skills in Adobe Dreamweaver, which is how I initially got into web design and coding, primarily with HTML and CSS. Furthermore, my skills include making simple animations using AfterEffects.
I am lucky to have had the opportunity to work with actual clients through my university, which taught me to follow clients’ briefs and present my work to them in a professional way.
Personally, I feel that giving a brand or a persona an appealing internet presence is more important than ever. Through digitalization and the current pandemic, more and more of our everyday lives take place online. This is what inspires me to help brands be recognized digitally. My own website is my very first actual coding project. However, I am eager to gain more knowledge and experience in coding and hope to master this skill.
